Professors Give Extra Credit to a Home’s Large Yard
Renters Who Needed More Space
Ana and Ali are university professors (she teaches music; he teaches math), and I was recommended to them by their former landlords, who were also clients of mine. Having moved to New Orleans and rented for a while, Ana and Ali were starting a family and needed more space.
Finding A Home with Promise
After searching for many months and making multiple offers that didn’t work out, they were feeling frustrated. But then we found a house on Valence Street, and they fell in love. A split level that needed updating, its proximity to the universities was a plus, and they could see its promise. Ana and Ali were willing to take on a renovation project because what they wanted more than anything was a big yard for their daughter to play in — and this home offered just that. We acted quickly and decisively to make the right offer, and Ana and Ali finally got what they wanted. Their situation is proof of how important it is to stay focused, stay positive, and be ready to jump on something when you see it.
With finished architectural plans in hand, they’re about to start renovating, and I’m so excited for them.
What Ali and Ana Say About the Process
I’m honored that they had this to say about working with me:
Tracey Moore is, bar none, the best realtor in New Orleans. She knows everyone and everything. She’s amazingly patient, a consummate professional, and extraordinarily responsive. We had a long and complicated search, and having Tracey on our side made the difference between getting the property we wanted and losing it to someone else. We could always depend on Tracey to provide expert advice tailored to our needs. I recommend her unreservedly. – Ali
Fast responses and fast action ensured we had the right offer in at the right time. Tracey is very resourceful; she can recommend multiple resources needed for homeowners. – Ana
Here’s to Ana, Ali and their 3-year-old daughter — as they transform this house into their dream home and enjoy that big beautiful yard for many years to come!
